This three day seminar of classroom instruction and hands-on rigging practice will teach you the basics of rescue rigging. Emphasis will be placed on helping you understand the theories and physics behind rigging, and applying these theories to various rescue situations.

About the Instructor
Dean has been an active member of the Zion National Park Search and Rescue Team for almost a decade and is a lead instructor and rigger for the team. He has completed the Rigging for Rescue course with Kirk Mauthner three times and also the Ropes That Rescue course with Reed Thourne twice. As an active member of the Zion SAR team, he has gained practical experience from numerous canyon and big wall SARs at Zion National Park. With over 25 years of technical rock climbing experience, Dean brings a well-rounded background to the operations and techniques of rescue rigging.
